Lunch and Learn- Stargazing with Mike Beddo

Mike Beddo will provide a brief introduction lasting 5 to 10 minutes, highlighting fascinating stars and other celestial objects visible at night with the naked eye and binoculars. He will cover the names of the brightest stars, key constellations, and tips on locating these objects. Following this, he will discuss the various types of “citizen science” that amateur sky watchers can engage in using “smart” telescopes. These telescopes are crafted to mitigate light pollution from urban environments and can be conveniently set up in your backyard or on your porch for an enjoyable stargazing experience.
