August Lunch and Learn - Bringing Life to Southern NM History
Steve Morgan is a retired Landscape architect, spending 30 years in New Mexico and Arizona. He currently resides in Kingston, NM with his wife Nichole and their four pups. He is the Volunteer and Program Coordinator for the Hillsboro Historical Society. Having always been a history buff, the Black Range Museum in Hillsboro has offered a great opportunity to continue studying history and passing that passion on to visitors. For the last 15 years, Steve has been giving Living History performances as Aldo Leopold. Bringing history alive for people and watching their historical interest grow is his reward.
What you will hear today will be about a new display that took two years to complete. Designing and building a climate controlled coach house for the Mountain Pride Concord Stagecoach. This is the very stagecoach which ran from Lake Valley to Hillsboro 1889-1915. The Black Range Museum also has an outdoor activity center that hosts a wide variety of displays and performances. This is a great time to learn more about what Southern New Mexico has to offer.
