PHPOA Membership Holiday Party
On Sunday, December 12, PHPOA hosted its very first Holiday Meet and Greet (“Festivus”) celebration for all Association members at Picacho Hills Country Club.  Chef Tim and his staff provided an excellent assortment of delicious fare. Members in attendance enjoyed good food and fellowship as they actively welcomed new residents to the PHPOA fold.  We are hoping to make this an annual event. We wish you all a “Happy Festivus” and a fruitful and healthy New Year!

PHPOA Holiday Food Drive

Picacho Hills Country Club and the Picacho Hills Property Owners Association co-sponsored a food drive to benefit the Casa de Peregrinos Food Program and the Roadrunner Food Bank. It was a great success, supplying food and donations for over 23,000 meals! Thank you for your donations, which so richly benefited our community!

This event took place at the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) hangar on Wingspan Drive at the Las Cruces Airport. The aim of this event was to inform our community of the airport’s future plans regarding runway expansion and a search for a regional carrier.
48 members of the community attended the event sponsored by the PHPOA. Pictured at left are PHPOA Board members presenting a donation to EAA.

Fall Landscape Update
The biggest effort of the year was the landscaping of Picacho Hills Drive between Calle Vista Bella and the triangle. First the dark brown lava rock was removed, then an elaborate irrigation system was constructed. Eight Texas Mountain Laurel, twenty-three Texas Sage and twenty-four creeping junipers were planted.  The thrice-weekly watering will be reduced to once monthly during the winter.
